FORMULAS FOR CALCULATING AMPERES

the formulas below are at 100% power factor

Single Phase

	horsepower times 746, divided by the voltage, will give you amperage
	wattage divided by voltage will give you amperage
	kilowatt times 1000, divided by the voltage, will give you amperage
	kilovolt amperes times 1000, divided by the voltage, will give you amperage
	voltage times amperage  will give you wattage
	voltage times amperage divided by 746 will give you HP

Three Phase

	horsepower times 746, divided by the voltage times 1.73, will give you amperage
	wattage divided by the voltage times 1.73 will give you amperage
	kilowatt times 1000 divided by the voltage times 1.73, will give you amperage
	kilovolt amperes times 1000 divided by the voltage times 1.73, will give you amperage
	voltage times amperage times 1.73 will give you wattage
	voltage times amperage times 1.73 divided by 746 will give you HP
